poetry of light by a non morning person

 in the morning you will hear my voice;
in the morning I will plead before you and wait
~psalm 5:4

At the first sign of early morning light
there is something strange and incandescent
that is disposing of the darkest night
and when it is over, suddenly spent,
my very own eyes have got the first sight
of a new day that is from heaven sent
and everything is crystal clear and bright.

At The First Sign Of Early Morning Light (Sicilian Septet)
~Gert Strydom (1964- --)

Morning glow, morning glow
Starts to glimmer when you know
Winds of change are set to blow
And sweep this whole land through
Morning glow is long past due
Morning glow fill the earth
Come and shine for all you're worth
We'll be present at the birth
Of old faith looking new
Morning glow is long past due
~anyone else remember ”Morning Glow,” from Pippin, the musical?
